Hair Coloring is a VISUAL ART...hair color mistake by me...

Ok, this weekend I made a grave mistake with my hair. I have been doing my own color for two years now. I like it dark red, but took some friends advice that I might look better with it toned down and lighter. So I took the advice. I colored it light auburn with some blond highlights. After two months of this, I decided I liked my hair the way it was originally, dark red.

Go back to the hair color do it yourself me. I was feeling a bit annoyed at myself for listening to someone else about my hair color so I defiantly marched up to the Drug Store and snatched the box of color I used to use. I forgot one important element. Lightened hair and dark red hair color makes for interesting results, really interesting, like Ronald McDonald. I tried "fixing" it with highlights but that made the problem worse because the highlights came out orange.

I fit right in at the concert I went to that night and had two people compliment me on my hair...but the kicker was the next day in daylight. I met up with a friend and she asked me if I was wearing a wig. I was horrified.

Its better now...a bit faded plus the brown fanci full works wonders...
