Desktop Sharing for viewing design projects remotely

I have been thinking about this for awhile...how can I made edits to design projects quickly and easily without waiting days to go back and forth with clients who live far away? I have had the local ones drop by and we have done projects right with them there...and it works out pretty well. There are no questions on how long something took, what I was doing during the time, and no miscommunication. How in the world can I do this with clients that live four states away, or just four towns away? I tested this website out last night and it works pretty well...

www.ShowMyPC.com

Since I have a laptop and a desktop which are not networked, I sent out an invite to my email from the laptop to the desktop, opened up the view remote pc section and watched me open up files from the laptop...now how cool is that?

I think this is going to work great to collaborate on projects and cut down on the edit time. I also think it will be good for them to see what it is I actually do. Alot of people tend to think design is just moving stuff around and making it look pretty...you gotta pick out pictures, have an eye for it and be creative as well!

I think as long as clients have a fast internet connection and computer this should work...oh yeah, skype as well! Free remote desktop viewing and free voiceover...

Hi Heather,

I would like to suggest a free desktop sharing tool that you could find very appropriate for your line of work.
Mikogo is a free online meeting tool where you can share your screen for free and invite up to 10 participants to join in real time. Some features include:
Switch presenter, remote keyboard and mouse control, application selection and sharing, file transfer, 256bit AES encryption, and more.
With the Skype Extra, you can talk with your Skype contacts and share your screen all for free from Skype.
Mikogo is completely free, with no time limitations and no feature limitations.
We are working on a lot of new features for the next version (to be released soon), including session recording, whiteboard, and much more. I would be happy to keep in contact and keep you posted as we launch the new Mikogo.

Please take a moment to check out our website, and feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Regards,

Andrew
