I had someone ask me this, and thought I would post an edited version...
- Search engine optimization...this is getting a lot of relevant text on your website so the search engines can spider it...just put a lot of text on your site relating to your work...your clients can decide whether or not to read it, but at least they found your site!!!
- Get yourself a blog and use it....blogs are hot!
- Podcasts!
- Go onto relevant forums and start talking to people...make sure you have a link going to your website on your signature so if people are curious they can look you up!
- YouTube.com and other video sites...post it on your blog while you are at it.
- Use all the free directories you can find.
- email newsletters
- make sure your class schedule is on your website, if you have classes.
